A History of the World in 100 Objects

Chris Tarrant presented this half hour BBC 1 Special telling the story of the Brindley Lock - a piece of engineering which helped James Brindley kick start the canal age and transform both the country's landscape and economy. A programme devised by Caitlin Hanrahan - her first prime-time commission - it saw Chris travel from Staffordshire, through the Black Country and on to Birmingham and Stratford on Avon.
