Welcome to HanrahanMedia - an Independent production company supplying the major UK broadcasters since 1991. Our award-winning documentaries, studio entertainment shows and comedy entertainment shows make us an Indie with a difference - we supply across a range of genre.
Our documentaries make a difference. Invariably featuring people who inspire, they are the editorial flagship of our content. For an idea of the tone of some of our programmes, watch a clip from our Dunblane documentary or have a look at our latest programme - The Suffolk Strangler - which detailed the work of those who caught and convicted a man responsible for heinous crimes in Suffolk, England. It has just won the 2009 RTS Best News and Current Affairs award. Our documentaries have one thing in common - the key contributors were part of the production process. It's the 21st century - making programmes about people should involve the people themselves; that's our view.
Throughout 2009 Sky's Crime Investigation Network will run our six-part series about Europe's biggest growth crime - Stalking. Again, first-person narrative will drive these compelling stories. This is just one of the programmes for which we have been nominated for an award this year - the RTS 'Best Documentary'.
But we take a broad approach to the genre we choose and this year we have broken new ground - a national BBC Comedy first for BBC THREE and then BBC TWO which marks the first 'narrative comedy' ever to be commissioned from the English Midlands. Trexx and Flipside is a 'Rap' comedy about two hugely loveable characters who dream of Hip-Hop stardom - only to be thwarted by their own management team of Mr. Brilliance and his PA,Ollie, and the GangstaRapper they went to school with - B-ICE.
In the meantime, click on the year (above) to get an idea of what we have done - from revealing the true story behind Paul McCartney's love for his second wife, to the phantom flan flinger catching up with Chris Tarrant...from exclusive access-driven footage of Kevin Keegan's first spell at Newcastle United, to David Gower and Jerry Guscott touring the UK for us. And then there's our SuDoKu formats - the world's first TV SuDoKu shows featuring Carol Vorderman. We care about what we do...and we hope you can tell.
